Management strategy game Jurassic World Evolution is getting a PlayStation 5 and PS4 sequel later this year, with Frontier Developments once again returning to the popular film property. The new game will boast a “brand new, immersive narrative campaign voiced by cast members from across the Jurassic World film franchise, exciting new features, four engaging game modes, and an enhanced and expanded roster of dinosaurs”.
You’ll be building and managing dinosaur parks in exotic new environments, with Jeff Goldblum and Bryce Dallas-Harper each reprising their roles from the films. Other modes include Chaos Theory, where you’ll seek to alter the events of the movies and change the Jurassic Park timeline forever. You can check out the trailer embedded above.

Mite b cool, although I've always wondered about the feasibility of RTS games on Playstation. Next time Tropico 5 is on a deep sale I might give the genre a go.
Have to say that Jeff Goldblum and the nice lady from the modern movie don't do anything for me with their presence here. The budget is better spent on the actual game, so to speak.
I'm in. I still go back to the first occasionally, and this one looks to be upping the game.
I enjoyed the first game, so will definitely check out the sequel.
I liked the first game too so it’s cool to see it’s coming back. My biggest gripe with the first game were that the maps were really fiddly and limited at times.
@Golem25 Tropico 5 and 6 are good games. They’re good fun without having to spend too much time with micromanagement but both still have their problems.
2nd game? I haven't even finished the 1st game yet lol
Will be interested to see how they improve on the first game.
Yes! Awesome news.
2021 release too!
And they have a Mosasaur! 😬
I hope they use the Jurassic Park DLC as a starting point. The streamlined gameplay in the JP DLC was perfect. Also really hope you can walk around the park in first or third person.
Really can’t wait for this.
Just letting you guys know - It’s Bryce Dallas-Howard not Harper 😊
Not gonna lie I did not play the first do you guys think maybe I should check out the first?
@fR_eeBritney And no hyphen needed either. 😊
Why do they do that ay. Story is integral obviously but gaming is about the gaming, so where’s the gameplay? It’s just an extremely misleading practice in the industry
@Deadhunter oh Jesus, we’ve done her a disservice tonight 🤣
How is the first one?
How did the first game control on console? I was skeptical about playing this kind of controller, but Frostpunk showed it can be done really well if they put the work in.
@Harribo1998 if you like other construction and management simulation games, I’d say definitely yes. But it’s not going to appeal to everyone. I bought it mainly because I love Jurassic Park / World and ended up really enjoying it. The game does a good job of explaining the mechanics. Ended up buying all the DLC packs - the Jurassic Park DLC in particular was something else. I’d recommend watching a few gameplay videos on YouTube to get a better idea though before you buy.
Loved the first one so I'll definitely be checking this one out. I know when I was a kid I used to love playing the Tycoon games especially Zoo Tycoon Dinosaur Digs on PC, I used to deliberately let the Dinosaurs out of their enclosures and go on a rampage killing all the guests.
Jurassic World Evolution reminded me of that game somewhat.
I find simulation games boring as hell so hard pass, but hope those that wish to play have a great time.
